On the plastic shims i face off some bar stock in the lathe use double stick tape to stick shim to and can make custom shims.

What tools do I need, more specifically, what was the name of the tool used to remove the gears.

Did the Pr body plate/thing you had to drill come with the kit? I can't find it online anywhere and don't know If I need to worry about it

Thank you now I no what is actually happening inside the transmission with this valve and it's not just a tork coveter issue..yes we have a 20017 Silverado V 6. We are doing the delete kit . wondering my trans cooler lines are in the radiator so we're thinking it would be fine as the old style tranny were to...we are also doing the 4 cylinder disabler..I mean uneven were to the motor comes to mind out side of a lifter fail..

@Automatic Transmission, Great video. I have a question. I pulled the pump off without removing the bell housing and now the tranny leaks when engine is running. Am i correct in assuming that the transmission pump body oring is damaged?

Thanks for sharing this great information I didn’t know that I have to turn traction control off to make the car running on the air. But what my Toyota Camry 2003 only drives side wheel is turning the passenger side moving very slow and I can stop it with my hand, just installed new CV axles is it possible that transmission is bad or didn’t coupled the shaft correctly?

Very nice information and information,very good solution for the heat of South texas or Australia,when I was working in Canada we cover the radiator to help to reach the temperature of the engine and transmission(many of the new truck don't let you select the gear until the normal temperature is reached to avoid damage by heavy viscosity)we also use transmission oil for all the hydraulic equipment...

I have just rebuilt my 2003 RE5R05A transmission. After warm-up, there is engine flare-up (delay in shifting) from gear 3 to gear 4. No codes are present, and no other symptoms are observed. What should I check?

I don't know how those servos are set up exactly, but the noise sounds like some stripped gears going round and round but just ' stripping '

My Dad rebuilt transmissions in his shop that he built over many years in our backyard. He did this after working his regular job all day! He started when he was 14. He only went to 8th grade. It takes years & passion. Now my son is driving & his truck has a 4l60e and its slippin in 1st & wont reverse. Sadly my Dad passed away in January 2022 so we dont have anyone to rebuild it. I hope your video will encourage my son to maybe pick up his Papaws hobby & try to rebuild his transmission. Thank you sir. I know the hard work that goes into rebuilding a transmission. I always wanted my Dad to make a video like this.
